I must admit that when I first heard about the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira that I thought it was a bit silly. Having a wife who is a three time national fighting champion in Shotokan, I’m brainwashed to be more of a martial arts purist.
You are going to LOVE this video of a Capoeira fighter vs a brawler in the ring.
Actually, my 7 year old daughter loves horses and for her Birthday last weekend, we decided to do a little horseback riding.

We had a pretty amazing day and everyone got in on the action.
Brandy Roell, Amanda and Nat
Our good friend, Officer Brandy Roell was even coerced from her wheelchair to trying riding a hose for the first time.. Pretty amazing for someone who was shot in the back by an AK-47 less a little over a month ago.
I don’t know how this mess we are in could totally be an accident. It almost seems like a “perfect” plan is being implemented to grab as much power as humanly possible.. Every day brings another ‘bailout” that puts the feds in more control of each Americans life. The latest announcement that the fed would “directly inject cash” into local banks in return for part ownership is the most scarey announcement so far.
Combined with the Patriot Act, there will be 100% transparency from your home to the government.
Glenn Beck posted a GREAT article about what he sees coming for our country. Read it HERE
The Scotsman has an article about the “New World Order. Read it HERE
A few weeks ago, I had a great interview with Tech Industry guru, Phil Leigh. The interview was posted as part of his podcast today. He even included a TriCaster demo hosted by NewTek’s CEO, Jim Plant.
I know you are as shocked as I am to read that headline.. I was interviewed for an article called “The Yuppie Survivalists”, in this months edition of Details Magazine. 🙂
It’s a well written article about how more mainstream people are starting to invest in food storage as a hedge against future uncertanty. I was given the honor of the last quote in the article, so skip on to page 3 and scoll down to the bottom. 😉
This is a VERY interesting article about how cities go about planning for a large scale disaster.
On planning for the big one..
Such ghastly planning, while necessary and reassuring, is somewhat unnerving to people like Brenda Taylor, 43, whose family lives within walking distance of the Farmington Hills Ice Arena.
“It’s a bit creepy to think that a place where my family goes to have fun could literally become a morgue overnight one day,” she said. “But, since 9/11, I guess you have to prepare for anything.”
It’s hard to believe that this isn’t making big news. According to a Washington Times article, Pelosi has paid almost 100,000 from a PAC fund to her husbands real estate investment firm. Wasn’t Pelosi one of the people that attacked Tom DeLay for almost the same thing?
It’s no wonder that America has lost it’s faith in our government.
