    • ]]>     I don’t think anyone would disagree when I say that the Heath Insurance industry needs reform but I keep reading more and more idiotic suggestions and decisions from our “leaders” in DC.. This one was irritating but not suprising..

    Ensign receives handwritten confirmation
    This doesn’t happen often enough.

    Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

    Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it “Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold.”

    The note was a follow-up to Ensign’s questioning at the markup.

    • ]]>     I was nervous and eager this morning when I woke up.. This mornings decision by the US Supreme Court could have struck down an individual right but their decision upheld the second amendment protected right to bear arms.

    Way to go Supreme Court!

    • ]]>     To many, this may seem like just another day in America but there is a decision being made that can send seismic ripples all the way back to to our founding fathers. Today in DC, the Supreme Court is looking into the DC gun ban. If this is overturned it will be a great victory from Americas right to bear arms. 

    I pray that the Supreme Court will do their best to uphold the rights given to us by the Bill of RIghts and refrain from trying to tweak this amazing document based on society pressure.
