My favorite quote from the story is “In order for teachers and staff to carry a pistol, they must have a Texas license to carry a concealed handgun; must be authorized to carry by the district; must receive training in crisis management and hostile situations and have to use ammunition that is designed to minimize the risk of ricochet in school halls.”
I agree! It’s aways a good idea to minimize the risk of ricochet in the school halls!
Way to go Texas! The first state to allow teachers to protect our children!
Readers of my blog know that two weeks ago, an engergy drink sent me to the ER with heart issues.. I’m currently wearing a heart monitor to track the fun rythems that my heart is now in since the madness started.

I wasn’t suprised today when I found this story in the the Times.

Dr. Scott Willoughby, of the Cardiovascular Research Center at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide University, said he was “alarmed” at the results of his survey.
