Napolitano promises to enforce current immigration laws.

Today in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, DHS Secretary, Janet Napolitano addressed sheriffs from across the country and promised to enforce our current immigration laws.

One comment from the Miami Herald article struck me as “funny”.

Napolitano said she wanted to give sheriffs’ departments access to immigration databases so illegal migrants who are criminals can be identified quickly and sent back to their home countries. This is a part of the DHS’ Secure Communities Program, an initiative that seeks to improve public safety by identifying illegal immigrants who are criminals.

If someone is “illegally” in the country aren’t they breaking the law and committing a crime? If they are committing a crime, aren’t all illegal immigrants criminals?

This age of political correctness is getting to the point of making me BARF.
