TriCaster brings Olympic swimming to worldwide audience.

Raising the bar is an Olympic tradition. Advances in lighter, smarter, faster recording and broadcast equipment are now making it possible to see Olympic competitions like you’ve never seen them before.

The new level of Olympic quality coverage is on view this week at the Southern California Grand Prix in Long Beach, California. Fans around the world can view live streaming video on the Internet thanks to Swim Network, a media venture launched by USA Swimming.

State-of-the art technology has made swimming fans’ dreams come true. “Five years ago, we would have needed a TV truck and satellite equipment,” observes Andrew Silver, director of the production team for Swim Network’s latest coverage. “Now we have a tricaster here that works like a mobile TV truck and we can simply broadcast to the Internet so fans can watch swimming on demand.”
