I recently had the opportunity to do an interview with Michael Sean Wright of Nice Fish Films to talk about my upcoming album that was crowd funded using a Kickstarter project!
The song featured in the interview is “Listen to the Silence” which was co-written with my good friend, Mike Manning.

I love finding a band that I’ve never heard of and then the totally blow me away.. I was browsing the Amoeba Records website checking out their live streaming of in-store performances thinking that I should pitch them on TriCaster.
The first band that popped up was a French band named “Revolver”.. I started watching the webcast from a technical viewpoint but midway through the first song, I was hooked! WOW! This 3 piece really has bottled magic!
Here is your assignment.. Watch the webcast.. Then follow the link to buy their album.. You won’t be disappointed!
I think we all have inhaled helium to hear our funny voice but this video takes it to the next level..
A friend of my FOUND this on his video camera. Apparently his son had “borrowed” the camera to make his own helium video. He takes some scissors, cuts open the mylar balloon, inhales the entire ballon then hits the floor with scissors in hand..
I’m a gigging musician and managing the lyrics/chords for the many songs that get requested used to take up a huge binder. After discovering the iPad app, SongBook Pro ChordPro, I only need my trusty iPad. Watch this review and the immediately go buy the app.
Robert Scoble of Building 43/Rackspace interviews Etienne Mineur and discusses what may be the coolest iPad app/technology i’ve seen. It’s basically a Disney game that uses plastic figures placed on the iPad screen as pawns in a game. The iPad can actually differentiate between the different character figures when they placed on the screen.
After watching the interview, make sure you visit Etienne’s website. What a creative guy.. “The Living Dead Pixels” is worth a look.
I’ve know Laura Lorek for many years at the premier tech writer in south Texas. Recently she left her job at the San Antonio Express-News to start SiliconHillsNews.com. Checkout her story on my kickstarter album project!
The world is rapidly changing. Budgets are dropping, sponsors are cutting back.. It seems like everything around us is in decline! Everything except the demand for sports programming!
In this perfect storm of lower budgets but more demand for content, what is a producer to do?
D2 Productions teamed up with live sports producing legend, Joel Kitay to show what the future holds for live sports production..
On the weekend of May 13-15, 2011, D2 Productions teamed up with longtime partner Kitay Productions to produce cutting-edge experimental coverage of college baseball for Conference USA.
Our mission: to produce network-level HD sports coverage within a budget roughly one-third to one-half that of comparable broadcasts. We headed to Rice University in Houston for a weekend series against Memphis. We built the production system on Friday, and then produced games on Saturday and Sunday which aired on CBS Sports Network. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we did it.
