Chuck Muncie, NFL Legend and Livestreaming pioneer, dies at 60

448px-Chuck_Muncie_at_Cal_10-25-08_01

Just found out some very sad news. A long time cool friend of NewTek, Chuck Muncie has passed away from a heart attack at 60 years old.

Chuck was know for his BEASTLY running on the field. Punishing any DB that dared tackle him… I got to know Chuck for a much different reason.. He wanted to help promote high school athletes by streaming their games to the web. He has been working with the top HS programs in southern California for the past few years helping those kids get maximum exposure for their talents.

Chuck Muncie will definitely be missed.

Here is a brief interview that I did with Chuck back in 2010

Reuters: U.S. probes deaths for links to Monster energy drink

Philip Nelson getting EKG in ER after drinking energy drinks

I’ve been saying for years that energy drinks are BAD NEWS. After drinking a couple of energy drinks, I was sent to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack. That scare ended up being very costly when it comes to increases in my life insurance premiums! Simply going to the cardiologist to make sure my heart was ok, doubled my insurance premiums.

Now energy drinks are being tied to the death of kids…..

(Reuters) – The Food and Drug Administration said on Monday that it was investigating reports of five deaths that may be associated with Monster Beverage Corp’s namesake energy drink, and the company’s shares fell more than 14 percent.

Monster is also being sued by the family of a 14-year-old Maryland girl with a heart condition who died after drinking two cans of its Monster energy drink in a 24-hour period.

Monster said it does not believe its drinks are “in any way responsible” for the girl’s death.

The energy drink market is dominated by Monster and Austrian company Red Bull, but it also includes beverages made by Coca-Cola Co and PepsiCo.

Victory for FREEDOM! TSA Pulls Use Of Controversial Full Body Scanners At JFK, LaGuardia Airports

I’ve been shocked by how many people will blindly walk through the naked scanners at airports not thinking of the rights they are voluntarily giving up!

Here is a win for freedom!

TSA Pulls Use Of Controversial Full Body Scanners At JFK, LaGuardia Airports

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The controversial full body airport scanners are being removed from LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International, the Transportation Security Administration announced Sunday.

The Backscatter machines were first used at JFK exactly two years ago amid a flurry of controversy.

Opponents said the very detailed image of the human body provided by the machines is an invasion of privacy, while others argued the level of radiation emitted by the Backscatters could be dangerous over the long term.

The TSA said its decision to pull the machines is in an effort to speed up security lines at the two New York City airports, and insists the full body scanners are safe.
