One of the reasons I’m against webservices is that you are “handing over” the keys to your kingdom and hoping that the company you rent your service from does a good job protecting it… It’s amazing how frequently companies give their customer databases to web 2.0 companies..

Google’s recently announced “Google Heath” promises to help you organized your medications, allergies, procedures, immunizations and more.. If you take time to read their FAQ, it gets a little concerning..

“7. How does Google Health protect the privacy of my health information?
You should know two main things up front:
We will never sell your personal health information or data
We will not share your health data with individuals or third parties unless you explicitly tell us to do so or except in certain limited circumstances described in our privacy policy.
We make it a point to let you know what information we collect when you use Google Health, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.”
The certain limited circumstances is what concerns me.. Privacy Policies change… Who’s to say what will be allowable 12 months from now..
I personally think that anyone who uses this service is a information idiot…
Wow! What a day.. I arrived at the Tweeter Center this morning at 8am to get ready for the New Kids on the Block soundcheck and to record their interview with TriCaster. I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting much from these guys but was blown away by how cool they were! They did TONS of interviews and were a laid back cool group o’ guys..
As posted earlier, you can see how many people we saw over the course of today.. Everyone from Natasha Bedingfield to The Jonas Brothers.. A big surprise for me today was one of the earlier interviews, Metro Station. They were a group of agressive looking guys.. A bit of a Punk Flair. During their interview, I found out that the most tatooed dude of the bund was Miley Cyrus’ brother! He and one other guy in the band met on the set of Hannah Montana and started Metro Station. Very cool band and I’m sure they are going to be HUGE!
Another cool story from the day was hanging out with Gavin DeGraw.
He had already done his interview and was just hanging back state.. I ended up visting with him for about 20 mintues.. Turns out he in days gone by, he would frequent the legendary Hell’s Kitchen drinking hole, Rudy’s. He had some great stories about guys he had met at Rudy and his early days of breaking into the music business. Gavin recommend a movie about Hell’s Kitchen and I’m going to pass it on to the readers of my blog… “State of Grace” starring Gary Oldman.
KISS 108 will be posting all of the interviews we streamed today on their site.. Check them out at KISS108.com

The movie that I’ve been waiting YEARS for is almost here! Indy is back on the screen and there is a new generation of kids that will be asking Santa for a Bullwhip this Christmas.

Ran across this review on Ain’t it cool news… Not the greatest review but I usually like movies that everyone else doesn’t. 😉
It almost seems that Washington is trying to “keep the riff-raff out” with their new proposal to require proof of citizenship to vote. According to a recent article in the New York Times, more and more states are moving to require proof of citizenship in order to vote.. On the surface, this seems like a good idea.. Let’s not let illegals impact an American vote.. Maybe I’m just reading too much in but this seems to be an easier way for Washington to push through the Nataional ID card that has been getting resistance from privacy groups.

Durning a live shot from the county fair, this report gets a bonus from the cow standing behind him. Pretty funny stuff.. I love his comment after the cow “does his business”..
I don’t understand why people do the things they do… My Dad’s building was burned down last night by an arsonist!
When he first purchased the building back in the mid 80’s it was basic office/warehouse space. This is the building where we ran Cardco, our Baseball Card Store.. I started my video production company in the conference room of this building.. This is where the educational toy company, Glowco was founded..
I remember during one summers in High School, he “hired” me to help design a new executive office space and i actually helped build the new structure. it’s sad to see it all go up in SMOKE!
He has been renting the building to a church.. Apparently someone robbed the church and the lit the building on fire as they left.. You can read the entire article from the link below.
People can really be idiots.. All this to cover their tracks after stealing from a church.. What losers!
During NAB 2008 in Las Vegas, I had the honor of demoing TriCaster Broadcast to the industry legend, Jan Ozer. I’m excited to say that he liked what we showed him and posted the following show report on Digital Content Producer.
Excerpt from article:
“Let me say up front that I’m continually amazed at the functionality NewTek builds into their little boxes. Seems like I’m not the only one, as the NewTek rep rolled off customer after customer, like NBA, Fox Sports and the NHL.”
Britian has more security cameras than any other country in Europe, yet only 3% of crimes are solved using CCTV images. In an article published this morning, the Guardian (UK) broke the story about how ineffective the MASSIVE investment in “Big Brother” really was.

I got a great laugh when I read this story from the Dallas Morning news. CLICK HERE
“Man accused of trying to cash check for $360,000,000,000”

He made a valiant attempt to cash a check from 360 BILLION dollars at his local bank to start a record label..
Funny but sad stuff…
