If you are going to SXSW and have a cool ideas, you may just be able to win a free TriCaster from NewTek. Do a blog post about why TriCaster is awesome, where you saw TriCaster at SXSW, what you would do with it or maybe even just a blatant plea for a free TriCaster and you just may get your wish!

- Show up at SXSW
- Post a picture of who/what you would like to see streamed live (yes, it can be you, your show, your whatever)

- Post that info to your blog and share the link on NewTek Facebook page HERE
- Send all your followers to our Facebook page to “Like” you
The entry with the most “Likes”, wins

I’m filing this one under the “Don’t Mess with Texas” category!
Kudos to Rep. David Simpson (R-Longview) for filing HB 1938, with the goal of making it a civil penalty for anyone working in a locally owned airport to install or operate whole-body imaging equipment — “including a device that uses backscatter x-rays or millimeter waves, that creates a visual image of a person’s unclothed body and is intended to detect concealed objects,”
Texas joins 2 additional states (New Hampshire & New Jersey) in opposing the use of “naked scanners” on the residents of their state

Daniel P. Huffman took 1.5 million geocoded tweets and created a map showing the areas of the US that have the most profanity in their Twitter posts. I wanted to give a shout out to Shreveport, LA for being one of the highest concentrations of “bad language” into their posts.
