Today country music lost one it’s legends. Charlie Louvin passed away after a valiant bout with cancer. I have some cool pics and videos that I shot of Charlie. As soon as I have time, I’m going to post them here.
Billy Sheehan, bass player for David Lee Roth and Mr. Big made an appearance in the Hartke booth during NAMM 2011. He was taking random requests from the crowd and even accommodated ones fans request for “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey.. Pretty amazing the amount of music he can get out of that Bass Guitar.

Albert Dupont of the St. Charles Satellie Center just posted a great wrap-up of his All-American Student, Callan John’s week at the US Army All-American Bowl.
The NewTek All-American Video Crew arrived in San Antonio on January 4, 2011 for five days of training, video production and fun. The crew consists of five High School Seniors who were chosen to be a part of the first ever NewTek All-American Video Crew and the Army All-American Bowl activities. They are Callan Johns of the Satellite Center/Hahnville in Louisiana, A.J. Strauss from Sutter, California, Clint Saylor from Vancouver, Washington, Jordan Tribble from Carbondale, Colorado and Tyler Smith from Dallastown, Pennsylvania.
The five days were packed with activities for the NewTek All-American Video Crew and have been a whirlwind. They spent their first full day at the NewTek Corporate Offices in San Antonio. It is a very unique working environment that reflects the personalities of the NewTek employees. It was an eye-opening experience for the AAVC winners and their sponsors. The first day included training on the Tricaster TCXD850 and 3Play system by Don Ballance.
What a sad situation. I just can’t imagine what this family is going through. It’s impressive that her father, in the middle of all this, says that he doesn’t want to see more limits placed on our freedom.

While in Vegas for CES 2011, I had the opportunity sit down with Leo Laporte to talk about how he uses TriCaster to power Twit.tv. My segment starts at 31 minutes into the show.
Claire Hirschkind, 56, who says she is a rape victim and who has a pacemaker-type device implanted in her chest, says her constitutional rights were violated.  She says she never broke any laws. But the Transportation Security Administration disagrees.
Hirschkind was hoping to spend Christmas with friends in California, but she never made it past the security checkpoint.
During my adventures, I meet many interesting people. When appropriate, I take photos and make them available for free use on my flicker account. I was excited when linternaute.com asked me for permission to use one of my Eva Longoria shots for the “Women of 2010” article.
Before I give you this video, I would like to congratulate my friend Amber J. Lawson on her new job at AOL. The queen of web comedy is starting things off right with this soon to be classic video of kids telling/acting out the “Christmas” story.
Mary and Joseph were on a Business trip in Baltimore? Enjoy!
