I’ve posted a few times about the dangers of energy drinks but this is the first report that I’ve found that links engery drinks to someones death.
From a Telegraph Report:

A student who died on a nightclub dancefloor in front of friends suffered a heart condition that may have been triggered by caffeine in the Red Bull she had been drinking, an inquest heard.Read entire article HERE

Music is weird… Sometimes year hear a song and love it the first time you year it. This is rare but every few years it happens.. Some songs that come to mind are “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt, “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns and Roses, “viva la vida” by Coldplay…
A few weeks ago, it happened again. I head this song on the radio called “Lucky Day” that had me hooked by the first chorus. I loved the tone of the female singers voice and the song was so catchy.. Imagine my surpise when I heard the tag line promoting the Texas Lottery. This is probably the first time that I would be willing to pay for a copy of this “jingle”. 🙂
Did a little research and discovered that the song was sung by a singer from Dallas, TX named Camille Cortinas and her band is called Fishing For Comets. I will definitely be checking them out ASAP!
Hey Camille.. If you happen to read this, I need an MP3 of that song! 😉
Update: Coming soon I’ll be posting an interview with Camille Cortinas. Check back next the 2nd week of March.
I was blown away by Jennifer Hudson’s performance of the Star Spangled Banner before the Super Bowl.. Imagine my disappointemt to learn that the performance was a “lip sync”. Here is a comment from pre-game show producer, Rickey Minor in an AP Story. Read story HERE
Although entertainers can perform live, Minor insisted that Hudson and Faith Hill, who sang “America the Beautiful” before the national anthem, use the tracks the NFL requires them to submit a week before the game.
“That’s the right way to do it,” Minor said. “There’s too many variables to go live. I would never recommend any artist go live because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance.”

What JOKE.. He tells Hudson that she “Nailed it”.. LOL.. It’s easy to nail it everytime when lip-syncing! What did she actually nail? The hand movements? These artists should be ashamed of themselves for not delivering the “Goods”.
The most exciting thing I saw this year at CES was 3D on standard televisions!! WOW! I can’t wait for this to hit our homes on a regular basis. The technology used polarized lenses rather than the old school “red//blue Lens” glasses.

I was soo excited to see the Pepsi/Dreamworks promotion of their 3D commercial during the SuperBowl this year! Unfortunaly, the glasses are pretty hard to find. According to the Sobe website, there will be glasses available today at Target in selected cities.
