I saw this video on WhatsTrending.com and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!
A Dad sends his sons favorite toy to space and back. Enjoy!
Did iPhone finally “Jump the Shark”? When Steve Jobs was alive, iPhone was all about polish and ease of use… Since his death, they have released two major features while still in “beta” Siri and the new Maps application.
Check out this scathing review of the new Apple Maps app from Mashable.
During a recent visit to see my friends at Geekbeat.tv, Cali Lewis asked me to do some more music product reviews.
In this segment, I review the Apogee Duet 2 recording interface for mac. Check it out!

I have some great suggestions for anyone searching for a last minute.. UNIQUE gift for their Dad’s this weekend!
1. The Most UseLess Box – This will keep Dad busy for HOURS!
2. Buckyballs – Addictive magnetic balls that will keep a Dad and their kids busy for hours. For some reason, Mom’s are immune to Buckyballs.
As bonus, here is a video showing a buckyballs electric motor
3. Han Solo in Carbonite Ice Tray – I have only thing to say.. Who WOULDN’T want this?
4. iRig or iKlip – If your Dad is a musician or singer, these are some great gadgets to consider!
5.SongBook PRO (iPhone/iPad) – Learn any song, Manage your setlist, transpose music.. He’ll love this!!

I’ve seen this video link floating around facebook and totally expected it to be a very dorky Tron tribute… Because so many people were sharing it, I decided to go ahead and give it a watch.. WOAH.. It’s actually pretty sweet. Love the bullet time effect!
I purchased an HP LaserJet CM1415fnw last night and setup seemed pretty straight forward and easy.. All was well until I tried to go to sleep. Every 5 minutes, the printer would reboot and initialize.. DROVE ME CRAZY.
I spent an hour online with HP tech support and they determined it was most likely a hardware problem.
I boxed up the printer and returned it to Office Depot today.
Imagine my frustration when I installed the new printer and it also started rebooting every 5min. I immediately went to the web and started searching for answers. I ran across a thread in the HP forums were someone asked a simple question, “Do you have a Boxee Box on your network?”
That lead me to search for Boxee HP issues and led me to the thread on the Boxee forums that saved the day!
Thanks to the Milkman for posting the solution! For curious minds, here is a link to the original thread..
I found this thread while on my 3rd 35min call into HP tech support while waiting on my last lengthy hold session while the support agent consulted with his supervisor on how to handle this case. Thanks to all for posting about this. My HP Laserjet Pro CM1415fnw was also rebooting about every 5 minutes while the printer was connected to either my wired or wireless network (only USB was OK).
HP tech support had no idea how to resolve this. They assumed I had a dud and sent me a refurb printer to replace my new unit. They had no ability to enable debug logs to help determine what was causing the printer to crash and reboot. Instead their only other idea was to replace my router which they assumed was the cause of this network interoperability problem.
The fix on this forum indeed saved the day! HP updated their tech support database with this fix today so HOPEFULLY future callers like me might have a chance of getting some help from them if they search on a similar issue. I would like to give back in a small way by posting step by step instructions for newbies on how to fix this issue (as the setting is not available directly on the printer. . .at least not anywhere that HP Support or I could find):
(1) Log into the printer’s web interface using your web browser and navigating to the printer’s IP address,
(2) Select the “Networking” tab on the printer’s web page,
(3) Select “Advanced” on the left column,
(4) Remove the check box next to “WS-Discovery”
(5) Click on the “Apply” button at the bottom of the page.I do agree with comments from previous posts that this is an HP bug which Boxee could do their part to help work around by limiting the amount of unnecessary network traffic while AV is not streaming. Casual Boxee users may not be able to so easily discover this specific fix so Boxee could help prevent this type of issue before it happens
